History of Mahabaleshwar : Mahabaleshwar was once the summer capital of the old Bombay Presidency. The first to set foot here was Sir Charles Malet in 1971 and later under the governor of Bombay, a sanatorium was built here in 1828. Catholic Church :
Take a tour to the old Roman Catholic Church located at Mahabaleshwar. Although the church is practically falling apart, its strained glass windows are still a sight to behold.
