Shillong Tourism Guide

Often reffered as Scotland of The East, Shillong is a beautiful destination nestled in Northeastern part of India. As the capital of Megahalaya, Shillong nestles itself at an altitude 1,520 meters (4,990 feet) above sea level.

Shillong Peak
Located at an altitude of 1965 mtrs above sea level, Shillong Peak offers panoramic view of the country side.

The Ward Lake
This is an important travel attractions of Shilling and is located in the heart of the city. The Ward lake is quiet popular for ist short garden walks and boating. The lake abounds in fish and feeding them is one of the best time pass of travellers visting this place.

Elephant Falls
Caressing the nature is the famous Elephant falls, 12 kms on the outskirts of the city forming one of the best picnic spots.

Sohpetbneng Peak
Located 20 kms from Shillong, Sohpetbneng Peak is regarded as sacred by the Hynniewtrep people. It is a beautiful scenic view
